ASSESSORS MEETING  MINUTES

MARCH 16, 2006

7:00 P.M.  Called meeting to order.  Present:  Paula Keefe, Ellen Abelson, Richard

                  Gorden and Mark Mazur

1.  The Board reviewed and signed special requests for state permission under M.G.L.

     Chapter 58 Section 8 to abate the unpaid taxes on the following properties that are

     now owned by the Town or the State:

            Parcel #29-8

            Parcel #28-2

            Parcel #101-191

            Parcel #131-1-6

            Parcel #84-114

            Parcel #49-9

2.  The Board reviewed the wording of two warrant articles we will be sponsoring at

     the Spring 2006 Town Meeting.

3.  The Board deem denied the fiscal year 2006 abatement application for the owner of

     parcel #82-28.

4.  The Board granted an abatement for fiscal year 2006 for the owner of parcel #124-29

     in final settlement of their appeal.

5.  The Board read a letter from Mr. Gray requesting copies of certain documents.

6.  The Board reviewed the draft of a response to Mr. Gray.  The Board approved an

     amended version of the letter, subject to the approval of  Town Counsel.

7.  The Board discussed ways of reducing the cost of stationery.  The Town IT

     Department was consulted and developed a computerized letterhead so that we

     no longer need to print stationery.
